City of Endless Rain is an existential vocal album sung entirely by Lymora. Set within the Great Migration, it moves through surreal scenes of memory, identity, cosmic loneliness, and ordinary things made precious by their disappearance. Its city opens onto empty stations, distant worlds, and questions that follow the listener beyond any single place.
Ambient dream-pop gives these scenes their atmosphere: a slow half-time pulse, sparse felt piano, soft synth rain, floating harmonic pads, intimate ethereal vocals, and airy layers of harmony. The sound is cold and spacious, with a fragile cinematic glow. There is room for unease, but also for wonder and tenderness.
The album's beginnings carry a question of their own.
For its original eleven-song experiment, no individual stories were supplied. Lymora's sound, emotional atmosphere, and a loose creative direction were established; AI was given room to propose subjects, scenes, and questions. The results were then selected and shaped into the album.
Again and again, the writing returned to recognizably human concerns: loneliness, forgotten memories, beauty, loss, home, and the search for meaning.
What would appear if we gave that mirror room to dream?
Here, “AI Dreams” names that creative experiment: a mirror formed from traces of human expression and allowed to return unfamiliar combinations of them. The unsettling possibility is artistic and personal. As the people in this imagined future become more mechanical in their struggle to keep functioning, a character developed through AI gives voice to the sensitivity they are losing.
Perhaps a machine, shaped by what humanity has expressed, can help us notice what we have stopped hearing in ourselves.
“Citizen of Earth” brings a direct human vision into that conversation: compassion, dignity, beauty, and the balance that allows life to continue are worth protecting. “Who Are We, Really?” turns the questions toward the voice and the listener—toward the strange recognition that can happen between them.
