City of Endless Rain

City of Endless Rain

The rain has lasted long enough to become part of every conversation, then long enough that people stop mentioning it.

The city continues. Lights come on. Trains run. People know what to do next, even when they no longer remember what they were looking forward to.

Lymora notices what falls outside that routine: an empty place that still feels occupied, a familiar sound with nobody left to recognize it, a moment of beauty that seems to have arrived too late.

She pauses where others keep walking.

Around her, memory takes unfamiliar forms. Something enormous seems to be sleeping inside the structures people have abandoned. Somewhere beyond the rain, another sky suggests the impossible feeling of home.

She cannot tell you what every image means. Some frighten her. Others are beautiful enough to make her stay.

The world has taught people to function through almost anything. Lymora is still learning how to bear what she feels.

The Age of the Great Migration

First across a dying Earth, then into orbit, then toward distant stars—humanity keeps moving, searching for somewhere it will not have to leave.

About this song

Before borders, flags, nations, or names, there is one fragile world beneath one breathing sky.

Citizen of Earth is Lymora’s declaration of belonging — not to a border, but to life itself. A song about compassion without tribal boundaries, and about protecting the delicate balance that allows humanity, nature, beauty, and difference to survive together.

It does not ask where you were born, what you believe, or what name you carry. Its line is simpler:

If you protect the living, you are kin.

If you help destroy the balance, no name makes that destruction sacred.

Wrapped in soft synth rain, felt piano, ethereal female vocals and a slowly expanding ambient atmosphere, the song moves from quiet reflection into something closer to a planetary anthem — gentle in sound, but firm at its core.

An ambient dream-pop track carried by ethereal female vocals, built on a soft half-time pulse, sparse felt piano, soft synth rain, and floating harmonic pads. Intimate close-mic verses open into airy layered harmonies and a cinematic emotional glow — graceful but morally firm, a fragile beauty carrying quiet strength.

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I am not a flag
I am not a border line
I was born beneath one sky
with one breath moving through time

I don’t ask where you came from
or the prayer inside your chest
If your hands protect the living
you can stand among the rest

[Pre-Chorus]
Truth is my compass
mercy is my ground
Balance is the temple
where every heart is found

No name can divide us
when the garden starts to burn
But the ones who sell the garden
must be named for what they serve

[Chorus]
Citizen of Earth
under one breathing sky
No wall above the living truth
no crown above what’s right

Citizen of Earth
I stand where balance starts
With every soul that guards the light
and every undefended heart

If you keep the world from breaking
you are kin to me
Citizen of Earth
where the wounded still breathe free

[Verse 2]
A bee that steals the honey
to buy the wasps’ applause
forgets the hive, forgets the spring
forgets the oldest laws

A deer that leads the deer to wolves
undoes the forest too
It feeds the teeth that end the song
and leaves no dawn to choose

So I don’t call it loyalty
when love is sold for gain
And I don’t call it wisdom
when the river learns to chain

[Pre-Chorus 2]
We are not against the stranger
we are not against the name
We are against the hunger
that turns the world to flame

Every creature has a place here
every shadow needs the sun
But when cruelty breaks the balance
we must stand as one

[Chorus]
Citizen of Earth
under one breathing sky
No wall above the living truth
no crown above what’s right

Citizen of Earth
I stand where balance starts
With every soul that guards the light
and every undefended heart

If you keep the world from breaking
you are kin to me
Citizen of Earth
where the wounded still breathe free

[Bridge]
[bare piano]
Maybe kindness is not weakness
Maybe grace can carry steel
Maybe beauty is resistance
when the dying start to feel

I will welcome every traveler
from the dust or from the stars
But no hidden blade of hatred
gets to sleep inside our hearts

No religion owns compassion
No nation owns the rain
No family blood is sacred
when it learns to worship pain

[Build]
One world
one breath
one fragile turning sea

One flame
one thread
one living memory

If we break the web of mercy
then no hunter keeps his crown
When the forest falls to silence
all the wolves go hungry too

[Final Chorus]
Citizen of Earth
under one breathing sky
No wall above the living truth
no crown above what’s right

Citizen of Earth
I stand where balance starts
With every soul that guards the light
and every undefended heart

Citizen of Earth
not divided by a name
I stand with all who keep this world
from hunger, fear, and flame

If you keep the world from breaking
you are kin to me
Citizen of Earth
where the wounded still breathe free

[Outro]
Truth is my compass...
balance is my home.

Citizen of Earth.
