He took the offer, using a cryo-capsule long-term-investment scheme (deposit savings, go into stasis, the freezing company invests it across the years) to try to rebuild his fortune. When he woke and walked out of the capsule, he found the Heaven project waiting as the *only* investment option left standing — the rest of the outside economy had already hollowed out. This is why he now lives in the Heaven era and carries the heaviest presence of any migrant across both Heaven albums, despite not being a Heaven native.
He also has an acting credit in Krakon Planet's in-universe "Krakon Civilization Traders" series (the song "Emma, Stay") — that's a role he plays, not a sign he's a Krakon native.
