Heaven I: The Heaven We Built

Heaven I: The Heaven We Built

It began with a discovery that changed the future forever.

A neuroscientist found that the human brain does not simply accept experiences generated behind the senses as real—it can experience them with a richness that surpasses physical reality itself. Freed from the limits of the eyes, ears, and body, the mind could construct worlds of impossible beauty, overwhelming emotion, and perfect presence.

For the first time in history, paradise became an engineering problem.

Entire industries were born around the idea. Investors poured unimaginable fortunes into building the first artificial heavens: vast shared dream worlds where landscapes could be shaped by thought, seasons could change with a gesture, and every desire could become a lived experience without physical, economic, or even moral constraints.

To enter, a person simply stepped into a life-support capsule. While the body rested safely inside its silent shell, the mind awakened somewhere else.

A place where oceans were always warm.

Where the sky never forgot your favorite colors.

Where love, adventure, beauty, peace, and every impossible dream could finally become home.

Millions sold everything they owned for a place inside this new paradise. Retirement was no longer measured in years, but in the life one wished to live forever.

Meanwhile, the world outside changed in ways few had expected.

As more people abandoned physical life, industries slowed, factories closed, and entire economies lost their purpose. Wealth itself became meaningless in a world where those who possessed it no longer needed anything from reality.

Beyond the walls of paradise, billions remained behind, struggling to survive among collapsing cities and improvised communities where the old economic system had quietly faded away.

Yet inside the dream...

None of that seemed to matter.

Welcome to Heaven I: The Heaven We Built.

A palace without a price. A thousand lives to explore. In a future of shared dream worlds, humanity can have almost anything it wants. What can be discovered? What will still matter when it does?

About this song

"Press Continue" is the third witness of Heaven I: The Heaven We Built.

This song follows someone who grew up exploring digital worlds long before humanity learned how to inhabit them. Every checkpoint, every second chance, and every impossible adventure became part of the person he would eventually become.

When artificial paradise finally arrived, it didn't replace his childhood.

It fulfilled the promise his childhood had quietly been making all along.

Musically, Press Continue blends nostalgic chiptune textures with cinematic ambient pop, warm piano, evolving electronic layers, and emotional vocals that balance innocence with wonder. Its recurring refrain keeps the possibility of another attempt close at hand.

A nostalgic synthwave pop track with soft electronic drums, subtle chiptune glints.

Nostalgic Synthwave Pop • Chiptune Accents • Bittersweet • Gentle & Emotional

Witness

Benny Everon's Testimony

People say I spent too much of my childhood in front of a screen.

Maybe I did.

But they never saw what I saw.

Those worlds taught me courage before I ever had any.

They taught me that failure wasn't the end, only another attempt.

That impossible bosses could be beaten.

That every locked door probably had a key somewhere.

When Heaven opened its gates, it didn't feel unfamiliar.

It felt like growing into the dream I'd been practicing my whole life.

Sometimes I wonder...

Maybe I was never escaping reality.

Maybe I was learning how to imagine a better one.

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I was small in a glowing room
Blue light on my hands
Worlds were made of little squares
And castles in the sand
Every monster had a pattern
Every death had one more try
I learned to lose without breaking
I learned to fall and fly

[Pre-Chorus]
They said it was only a game
Only colors on a screen
But I kept a hidden doorway
Where the real world couldn’t reach me

[Chorus]
Press continue
Press continue
Let the old light carry me
Press continue
Press continue
I was never just playing
I was trying to be free

[Post-Chorus]
One more life
One more dream
One more world
Inside the screen

[Verse 2]
Now the screen has opened wider
Now the pixels learned to breathe
I don’t hold the hero anymore
The hero carries me
I can run through burning cities
I can fall and feel the rain
I can tune the edge of hurting
Just enough to make it real again

[Pre-Chorus 2]
If the dragon feels like thunder
If the sword feels warm in hand
If the fear becomes a heartbeat
Who decides what worlds can stand?

[Chorus]
Press continue
Press continue
Let the old light carry me
Press continue
Press continue
I was never just playing
I was trying to be free

[Post-Chorus]
One more life
One more dream
One more world
Inside the screen

[Bridge]
Maybe I don’t want the ending
Maybe winning was the lie
Maybe all I ever wanted
Was another place to try
If the game becomes a doorway
If the doorway becomes home
Tell me why I should return
To a world that left me alone

[Final Chorus]
Press continue
Press continue
Let the child inside me breathe
Press continue
Press continue
I was never just escaping
I was learning how to dream
Press continue
Press continue
If the world outside is fading
Let this one remember me

[Outro]
One more life
One more dream
One more world
