Tales from Krakon

Story

A captain takes a contract, and a small ship leaves everything familiar behind. Somewhere along its route, a settlement is living by rules the crew has never encountered. Another vessel lies silent with something still running inside. At the next port, a stranger may be looking for passage—or offering a reason to change direction entirely.

Sometimes you take a job because it is the only one available. You may never learn to love it, but leaving is something you cannot afford. Across Krakon, some people take the opportunity within reach. Others have no say in where they find themselves.

Above an unfamiliar planet, the crew waits for the captain to finish the calculations. Will there be a landing? Who will go?

Some hope never to hear their names. Others have spent so long inside the ship that almost any patch of solid ground would feel like a gift, provided the reports look safe enough. A few are eager even when they do not. There are crew members kept in storage specifically for dangerous assignments, ready to be awakened when those moments come.

But sometimes the captain's calculations favor someone else.

The descent may begin inside a cramped capsule, with barely enough room to bend your knees. Returning will require another decision, another expense, and someone above who still considers the journey worthwhile. Surviving the landing does not guarantee a place on the ship again.

You might even be left free—on a world where nobody would choose to spend that freedom.

Elsewhere, someone has a comfortable life aboard a station: a small business, familiar neighbors, and a lover with whom life fits together like the two halves of a seed. There are obligations, but also pleasures, plans, and reasons to be content.

Still, a rumor about somewhere far away refuses to leave them alone. They call it an opportunity to make their fortune. Perhaps that is part of the truth.

One half of the seed leaves for the unknown. The other waits, like a flower losing its petals.

On another world, a hero gives his life to protect his people—and discovers that he has done so before. A poem written for his beloved in his first life survives to reveal what he cannot remember.

Who stole my eternity

to give me another life to bleed through?

How many stars have they bought

with the stories of my sacrifice?

He believed the monsters were invading his home. Now he has reason to believe that neither he nor the monsters belonged there.

When he resists, the people he once defended are sent to destroy him.

Every song begins with a story.

About this song

Docklight Static follows station life at the level of small encounters: passing ships, tired crews, smoky windows, late shifts, and people trying to remain human for one more night. Nera Voss listens from within that ordinary traffic, giving its overlooked moments the space of a song.

The repeating lines about ships and dock lights make the movement feel continuous, while brief glimpses of other lives pass through the ambient-pop setting. Nothing needs to culminate in a revelation. The feeling rests in warmth surviving inside cold infrastructure.

The creator's notes identify this track as the unexpected emergence of Nera Voss's voice during a generation that had departed from the intended arrangement.

Future funk drifting through existential ambient space, built on FM organ leads, glitch grooves, and dreamy atmospheric pads over soft pulse percussion, wrapped in galactic reverb, pitch-shift, bit-crush, and tape warmth. Quiet lives surviving cold space one soft night at a time.

Creation Notes

After too many fail try, last one is totally crash, its make 8 minute soundtrack, it should not be more than 4 minute, but with mistake the point go to the minute 6, she was a Girl!! but the Performer is a Man!!

And thin i know that the Performer leave the mike , and she came from nowhere out of the prompt, and start sing like that words written for her..

I caught a sound freeze the time, and make my heart more softer, and see stars shine around me, soft sad behind the scene..

Am just caught her, Nera Voss a Digital Artist that she came from error!!

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Ships drift slow
Dock lights glow
Ships drift slow past silent storms
Crewmen singing through neon warmth
Soft blue windows fogged by smoke
Cheap glass left inside winter coats
Mirror waits by platform nine
Same dim coat, same closing time
Nobody asked, nobody knows
Why some hearts stay where nobody goes

[Chorus]
Warmth is breathing through frozen steel
Funny how mirrors can make cold feel real
Sweet air drifting through crowded halls
Perfume of trouble nobody recalls

[Verse 2]
Ships drift slow through station glow
Someone arrives, someone lets go
Tiny warm lights under soft arcade light
Trying to stay human one more night
Ships drift slow through docking haze
Old souls floating through sleepless days
And for a little while everything fades
With the bars and the lows and the songs

[Bridge]
Seashell smoke near lower steams
Small burnt fingers count tiny dreams
Laughs too loud, talks too fast
Learning young how nights outlast
Oldville sleeping in empty glass
Dreaming of relics through half the night
And still moving while engines hum
Laughing off things more than anyone

[Chorus]
Black-edged lovers on railside sway
Sharing headphones above the gray
Patrol lights drifting slow and blue
Officer Ray waits like he always do
Got the floating lounges outside Ring Three
Violet shadows move lazily
Far below the pipe and side
Warm metal breath against the night

[Outro]
Ships drift slow through station glow
Crew songs melting through radio snow
No big endings, no grand goodbyes
Just tired people keeping small lights alive
Ships drift slow through sleepless dark
Cold space outside warmth of fragile hearts
And somewhere tonight behind smoked glass
Another quiet life learns how to last
Ships drift slow
Ships drift slow
Dock lights glow
Ships drift slow past silent storms
Crewmen singing through neon warmth
Soft blue windows
